The NEC-06 by Club Chef is the latest development in slip resistant footwear technology from STICO, the world’s safest technological anti-slip shoes.
This all-new design provides unparalleled levels of comfort and wearability and is designed to reduce foot soreness, leg fatigue and minimise the risk of slips and falls.
The proprietary outsole featuring nanoceramic technology with integrated ceramic powder and rubber provides excellent anti-slip performance on flooring with water, oil and detergent. Slip-resistant performance is maintained semi-permanently even when the pattern of the outsole is worn.
Airon CX Technology
The NEC-06 are manufactured with Airon CX, a high-quality, high-density EVA material developed by STICO that provides maximum cushioning while delivering very light and comfortable footwear.
Nanoceramic Technology Slip Resistance
The inclusion of nanoceramics provides exceptional grip and minimises the risk of slips and falls in high-paced work environments.
Anti-bacterial and Deodorising
Crafted for easy cleaning, these shoes resist stains and odours, allowing users to maintain hygiene standards that are essential for food service environments.
FAQ
I have worn the NEC-03 before. What’s the difference?
Fitment: The NEC-06 provides a completely different fitment to the NEC-03. It has a higher vamp, which is the area at the top of the foot where you would normally tie a shoelace. It also has a higher quarter, which is the back section of the shoe upper that extends from the vamp and wraps around the sides and back of the shoe. These design features make the NEC-06 fit more like a traditional shoe and will secure to your foot when walking (the NEC-03 “flip flops” like thongs when walking) If you have worn the NEC-03 we recommend ordering same size in the NEC-06. While some feet shapes will dictate which are a better fit, most people can choose based on style and wearability preferences.
Comfort: The NEC-06 provides more cushioning and greater slip resistance than the NEC-03.
What makes Stico the most slip-resistant?
STICO chef shoes are created with a combination of special rubber and ceramic powder compound plus a patented tread design which provides maximum slip-resistance. The unique rubber and ceramic powder compound grips the microscopic roughness of any surface, while the grid-pattern channels the liquid out from underneath the outsole.
Why are some outsoles more slip-resistant than others?
Different outsole compounds and tread designs create different coefficients of friction. Therefore, some chef shoes grip the floor better than others.
STICO uses the best materials and technology in their products therefore you as a consumer do not have to second guess the reliability of its performance when you purchase a pair of STICO chef shoes.
Does ‘oil-resistant’ mean the same as ‘slip-resistant’?
No. Shoes that are slip-resistant are not oil-resistant. However, STICO shoes are oil resistant as well as slip resistant on wet, oily and soapy detergent surfaces.
How long will the STICO footwear last?
The life of a pair of STICO’S will vary between users. Look after your STICO’S and they can provide at least a couple of years of use. STICO’S are designed for use in the kitchen only.
While you may enjoy wearing you STICO’S when commuting to and from work or school, this will cause premature wear and your STICO’S may only last 6 months.
Excessive walking on footpaths, bitumen and other abrasive surfaces dramatically decreases the life of STICO’S. We recommend wearing outdoor footwear to and from work/school and to wear STICO’S only when in the kitchen.
Are your outsoles guaranteed not to slip?
Please remember that NO outsole is 100% slip-proof. It is important to combine STICO footwear with proper floor maintenance to achieve maximum slip and fall incident reduction.
Exposure to high heat can cause your STICO’s to deform and distort.
✓Do not expose to sources of high heat such as stoves and open fires.
✓Do not store inside your car or car boot in warm/hot weather.
✓Do not clean with water that exceeds 40 degrees celcius.
✓Regularly clean the sole of your STICO’s with a soft brush or towel to maintain the slip-resistance of your STICO’s
